Very pleased with yet another APMEX transaction. The Engelhard "Eagle Bar" is quite impressive with an amazingly detailed eagle design. Very slight contact marks, probably since inception 30 or so years ago. The very "slight contact marks" are absolutely no concern for a bullion specimen that is not encased in an assay holder. He is a gorgeous Eagle with a beautiful reverse! Thanks again, APMEX!

WOW !! What a beauty, this bar exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I am so so happy with this. Bar arrived in superb flawless condition. More times than not I get a little nervous when I purchase items that advertise random design, or condition. Bit with the rarity of these bars, I decided to roll the dice (something I rarely do in this price range). But boy oh boy, I am glad I did. This purchase is bar none THE best purchase I have made in the last several months !! And, it gets even better !! It arrived a day earlier than the tracking info said !! The APMEX experience is 5 stars all the way...

I am extremely pleased that I purchased this previously-owned Engelhard "Eagle Logo" 1 oz. .9999 Fine Gold Bar. The premium is slightly higher over spot prices than other 1 oz. gold products, but that is due to the stellar Engelhard brand and limited supply for sale. Because the bar was previously owned, I was somewhat concerned about the condition it would be in when I received it, but the prior owner(s) maintained the bar's original pristine condition when first pressed. As with numismatic coins, the high points of the Eagle Logo could show signs of wear and dings, but the bar I received was free of wear on the Eagle logo as well as the bar's reverse which has the Engelhard name in raised letters. I certainly hope to have an opportunity to acquire more Engelhard gold bars in the future since I prefer to buy American made products. I also prefer unpackaged gold bullion bars compared to the modern variety that are sealed in TEP/Security packaging.
