The Perth Mint
Australia's The Perth Mint is the continent's oldest operating facility. It was originally founded as part of The Royal Mint system during British colonial rule. The Perth Mint was then handed over to the government of Western Australia and is not affiliated with the federal government's Royal Australian Mint.
The Perth Mint Design
On the obverse side of each bar is the image of The Perth Mint's logo, a graceful swan. Featured in the center of a circle, the swan is surrounded by engravings that read "Perth Mint Australia." The bar's purity, metal content, and weight are inscribed below.

These bars are a great way to invest and accumulate weight. I thought the 100 gram bar would come in an oversized assay card and larger flatter bar like the 100 gram silver bars but I was very happy to see the assay cards were the same size as my other gold bars and fit the Perth Mint storage boxes I have. The bar itself is about the same height and with as my 1 oz and 50 gram bars, only thicker. It is beautiful. At present I will only buy the 50 and 100 gram bars. There had all the pros and none of the cons in buying and easily stored.

Excellent 100 oz. bar, I prefer it to poured bars due to its robust, protective case and assay holder. Don't have to baby it or worry about dents and scratches as with the poured bars. HIGHLY recommend this one!

I never cease to be amazed at how exquisite the Perth bars have become. They are as close to perfection as you can come. Of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But to me the beauty of the Perth bars, remains as simple as ever but remains stunning at the same time. They have but one competitor in my opinion... and although the styles are different, the Perth bar remains my favorite, despite its more straightforward design. If you have the chance, compare the top competitors side-by-side and you might come to understand what I decided years ago. And why Perth has been selling almost a million bars and coins every month... for years. Every detail is drop dead gorgeous.
