Any year, every year, the Pandas are great! The 2014 came in capsule from APMEX without a flaw. My daughter looks forward to getting her China Panda coin every year.

Let me just say that I have over two dozen different one ounce silver coins from around the world, from over a dozen different countries, and the pandas are easily my favorite of the bunch (with Britannia's being not far behind). They have never struck me as being particularly detailed, like some, but I'm always very pleased with their use of different finished. There are 2-3 different finishes used to bring out different design elements and they always seem to be spot on and well done. I also appreciate that this is the only series of the bunch with a diagonally-reeded edge; a unique detail that makes these stand out even more. This 2014 was no exception. It arrived within 2 business days, packaged extremely well, and was received in a capsule in mint condition. Everything was exceptional. Looking forward to continuing my Panda collection.

this is my first-time purchase with apmex. I bought two items: a 1985 one ounce libertad and this beautiful panda. The libertad received has scratches and dents. But this coin is immaculate except the case is badly scratched. I shouldn't be so picky but the thing is I only buy one item for each type of coin, and I chose apmex because of its good reputation. The result is I paid 10+ dollars over spot price per coin but received flawed product. disappointed.

Right now with Silver around $16, I wouldn't be buying Panda's for $30. However, I did purchase them when Silver was around $22 and I'm glad to see that they hold their value when the price of silver drops. Also, keep in mind that the price of silver has dropped but physical demand is at record highs. So much for the laws of supply and demand. The point is that this is why you buy Panda's. They are more collectible, and either maintain their value or increase in value every year. Not like American Eagles that are closely tied into the price of bullion. Beautiful design and would definitely buy more. I'm just waiting for the price to drop.

Not sure why anyone would complain about a coin being damaged. All you need to do is contact APMEX and they will make it right. It's ridiculous to think every order will be shipped perfectly. Are you perfect? As for the coin itself, I think this is a terrific buy. All you need to do is look at how much previous years have gone up in value. Much more so than the American Eagle has relatively speaking.

The product arrived in a timely fashion but with a cracked capsule. With such a high premium on these coins I though they would send them in perfect condition with everything intact.

(Although it's even more unlikely only being shipped from OK to MO) With that being said, we've escalated this to Customer Service so they can hook you up with a new capsule and trade the coin if any damage was inured.
