I bought this as a gift to my grandchildren as a start in collecting. I chose APMEX because of the price and quality. The coins are graded and placed in a sealed slab that will protect the coins. I am pleased with the service I received from APMEX and look forward to many more purchases with them.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This product was a huge disappointment. Out of 50, 3 were acceptable and 7 tolerable. The rest were - I would call them defective - especially the obverse side is so ugly, that is, half or quarter of the surface has lively shine, but the rest is grey dead toned. They have a very poor eye appeal. It is mystery how they were able to get MS 69 FS designation. No wonder this product is still on the sale. I am very upset I ended up paying $15 shipping fee for 10 mediocre quality coins. I am planning to dispute this.
- Pros
- Recognized Brand
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This was my first purchase from APMEX. I bought the Silver Eagle for my boyfriend, an ambitious coin collector and metal detector. He was very pleased and loved it, being the Silver Eagle was packaged neatly, and the coin was in excellent condition! After researching what APMEX has to offer, I plan to use this dealer for many future purchases and investments.

- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Value (low premium over spot)

Nice coin, but disappointed with the quality, It was suppose to be first strike MS69 rating, but this coin does not have the shiny 1st strike appearance as the other two coins I bought, but has a fuzzy haze on the coin.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I bought one coin while premiums were low. Outstanding coin. However, the coin I received had a scuff mark on the back and its luster is less than all of my other 1 oz. Silver Eagles. With that aside, all in all a great product.
