Pre-1965 90% Silver coins, sometimes referred to as junk Silver or scrap Silver, are a great way to start your Silver investments. These Silver coins were pulled from circulation with the introduction of copper/nickel clad coins and the rising demand of Silver. The public saved them for their 90% Silver content as a rainy day fund they can fall back on.

recieved my mercury dimes today and wasn't pleased at all. One had what looked like gum that had been on it since the 1930's. It had turned to cement. Couldn't read the date and the reverse you couldn't see or make out at all. I did have a couple of 1920's but they were all in bad shape. Worst lot so far.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Circulated mercs, as advertised. Very pleased with the 2 $1FV sets I got overall. The dates were all common, but there was at least a little variance (got some '30s dates, mostly '40s). I was quite pleased with the quality of my batch. Everything ranged from VF-XF, with a couple that were sitting close to AU. This is part of a transaction marking my first time doing business with APMEX, and though I wasn't totally satisfied with my entire order, I'm definitely interested in continuing to use them.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Purchased these for their low price but also for their beauty. The mercury dimes have become our favorite American design. Ours came in good condition with a nice patina, which makes them nice for turning into jewelry for my wife and daughters. Happy that Apmex is able to carry coins like these for sale.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I received these Mercury dimes in a timely manner. I am disappointed.
When I ordered these Mecury dimes, I had a feeling a slick one would be slipped in after reading other reviews on similar items. I was positive and took my chances anyway. I at least want to see the date on a average circulation silver coin. If you have slicks and culls, please sell them as such. My other coins came in in good condition.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
