I'm actually happy that, while there was some variety (always good), several were the same year. I hope to leave these for my children and having some identical coins makes that easier. Many like the raw coins, but I like that the slab not only adds physical protection, but also reassurance for those less familiar with gold that the coin is genuine. Unfortunately, I admit it will take time to recover the premiums on the fractionals and the slabs. That said, I chose these for the added convenience. In an emergency, I wouldn't have to liquidate a full ounce. The 70 grade really only matters, a little, for the proofs, but these were actually cheaper than the 69s, so I figured, why not? Beautiful coins and attractive design.

Received a MS-70 grade 2016 Golden Eagle in Edmund C Moy signed assay. Did not come in a sealed packaging as my last golden eagle, but was instead sealed in a zip-lock baggy, which leads me to believe that I this coin was not mint direct and has a previous owner.

- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
