I had been contemplating a 100 oz. bar for awhile and I'm glad I bought it. I now have all the cast sizes except for the 5 oz. The cast RMC bars are of good quality, American made and Comex approved. The serial number is nice also.

This is my second time purchasing the RMC 100 oz. silver bars. While the premium over spot cost was a little higher than a year ago, it was still low enough to keep me happy. These cast bars are very attractive and all of mine arrived in the individual cardboard boxes that RMC uses for packaging from the mint. As a result, they are all in pristine condition. Another flawless transaction with APMEX.

I was hesitant to buy these bars due to a few reviews of them being scuffed up and not new looking. I had previously bought the 100 oz bars from the sunshine mint and really liked those. However, they were not in stock and the RMC were only .89 over spot. Did a bit of research and decided to give them a try. Well, just got them in today and they are great looking! Not sure if the other reviews of them not looking new was just a bad couple of bars but mine look great...brand new and shiny :) Bottom line, I will be buying these bars again without a doubt.

This is a "3-nines" bar of silver (100oz). RMC is a well recognized brand in this space. However, I prefer the APMEX/RMC co-branded 100oz bar of silver. The co-branded is "4-nines" fine silver and a better looking bar in my opinion. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I already have a few of the other major producers and being that these ones are "new", I decided to give it a try. In short, I'm not impressed. I had read some other reviews about the bars looking scuffed/worn, but I took a gamble. I see what those other reviewers are talking about. The bar would be nice if it didn't have pretty decent rub marks on the top. It's strange that there are no other marks on the sides or bottom, so I'm not sure if it is from the shipping box, or however these bars were once stacked. It is still pure silver, so I cannot complain too much. However, this is my worst looking bar, by far. I will not be buying more and will be looking to unload this in the future. I buy quite a bit through APMEX and am a little dissapointed with this purchase. I could understand some wear if these were secondary market.. but these are supposedly "new". Bottom line, if you want large format with little premium, it's still a good buy. If you want something pretty, I would not recommend this one.

Merchant response: BuckShot: We apologize that these were such a disappointment. We value your business and want you to know our customer service team will be contacting you in an effort to exchange these products and make it right. This almost sounds like an issue with the die at the mint or perhaps it just slipped through the cracks. Either way, we'll be sure to get you taken care of.

I prefer the cast bars to the stamped bars and these RMC bars are attractive. I like the fact that they are serialized which can only add credibility to the product when the time comes to sell. Apmex had a special at the time of purchase which gave them the lowest premium over spot at the time. A perfect alignment of events to get a great product.
