18th Century Gold from the Kingdom of Sicily!
This Gold Oncia (AGW .1282) is from the reign of Carlo (Charles III), who was King of Spain and also King of Sicily from 1734-1759. This coin features a bust of the king on the obverse, and a Phoenix with its haed facing right rising from the ashes on the reverse. This example is a nice Almost Uncirculated example with satiny fields and adjustment marks. Listed in Krause as C#14a.
