The quaint town of Bisbee, located 90 miles southeast of Tucson, Arizona and tucked away among the Mule Mountains, was founded as a Copper, Gold and Silver mining town in 1880 and was named in recognition of Judge DeWitt Bisbee, a financial backer of the Copper Queen Mine.

Once referred to as "the Queen of Copper Camps," mining proved to be very successful in the early 20th century, producing nearly three million ounces of Gold, along with Copper, Silver, Lead and Zinc.

By 1910, its population boomed to over 9,000 residents and was the largest community between St. Louis and San Francisco. Today, this success continues with the production of these 5 oz Silver Bisbee Buttons.

This round is a great looking round. I own several poured bars/rounds and this one is the most attractive design. I do wish the price over spot was a little less.

Not to Shabby

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

This was my first poured purchase, it has a nice feel, weight and size to be a perfect paperweight! And the lack of the shiny finish has most people not even noticing its silver.

  • Attractive Design
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Nice

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I am fairly new to silver and bought this item because I wanted some poured pieces in my stack. I bought two of them pretty low and am happy I did. It's a nice feel in hand, it fits right in my palm and is comfortable to make a fist around, nice and smooth and I enjoy the stamp design. Both of mine have a waviness around the edge, the poured just looks a lot better than stamped rounds. I think this is a good over spot value as I broke even with the item with a small rise in the charts, faster than any of the other items I purchased.

  • Pros
  • Attractive Design
  • Mint Condition
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
