This is one of the big three "K" 's in Australian silver coins. The Koalas are famous for their iconic design, along with the other Australian coins the Kookaburra and Kangaroo. I recommend anyone that is serious about collecting silver coins to have at least a few of each of these. They will cost a bit more in premium than the Eagles or Maple Leafs, let alone generic rounds. But, they are well worth it. For certain, if you are even thinking of buying paper based product, get these instead. Those MyRA accounts are not going to be worth the paper they are printed on, and neither will stocks, when the dollar becomes toilet paper or the banks start paying negative interest on these securities. You spend the money on Koalas, Kookaburras, and/or Kangaroos, you are safe. You get no negative interest, no bail ins, no worry about someone not coming through with payment (or being paid in toilet papers that are worthless), and no way of getting them confiscated with a click of a mouse. And you will simply laugh at the stock market when it crashes--your wealth is safe with these fine silver products.

The argument with bullion with some is that the premiums are too high for something that never changes and is only guaranteed to bring back spot. These seem to be more attractive and a somewhat limited mintage so a better prospect than Eagles or past coin replicas.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

First year the koalas have a limited mintage and the mint announced last month they sold out of the 300,000 koalas and 500,000 kookaburras. I think these will go up in value and are worth the premium compared to eagles and maples that have mintages in the tens of millions each year. These are one of my favorites to collect each year.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The coin is beautiful, collectible, and all that good stuff. I do wish that it came in mint tubes, the individual cases are great if you are buying a few but take up too much space if you are buying in bulk. Hey, I guess that's why Apmex sells the empty coin tubes! Just thought of that!

- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
