I saw these englehard rounds were last produced in ‘87. The design is classic American. They are absolutely beautiful. I chose the “random” option because it was the least expensive. I bought 6 rounds and judging by the fact that they were out of stock immediately after I bought them, they must have been close to the last ones they had. I received my shipment quickly and upon opening the package, I saw 6 beautiful rounds. They are very nice. The only thing is that I got 6 1987 rounds. Not quite “random” but still, when I bought them the description clearly said that you can get any year. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

I bought the last 39 APMEX had in stock on December 9, 2021. The “random year” listing was the cheapest option and I wanted as many Engelhard rounds as I could get. It didn’t really sink in that I would be able to see just how “random” these rounds really were until after I made the order. I received: 9 - “E” logo reverse 1982’s 9 - eagle reverse 1984’s 13 - eagle reverse 1985’s 7 - eagle reverse 1986’s 1 - eagle reverse 1987 Every year except 1983 and 1988 out of 39 rounds is pretty good as far as random goes I think. Also one of the 1986’s is beautifully toned on both sides, one of the 1985’s is beautifully toned on the reverse and the 1987 is decently toned on the obverse.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Wow, wow, wow! These silver rounds were all in superb mint condition quality (like they were minted just yesterday). Very nice design, and not a single mark or scratch on them. I received years 1984, 1985, and 1986. Only regret is that I did not purchased more of them.

Bought several which came in neatly taped tubes. They were in beautiful BU condition. A few had light toning which doesn't bother me. I'm quite happy.
