Peace Dollar Values
Designed by Anthony de Francisci, Peace Silver Dollar coins were produced by the U.S. Mint from 1921 to 1935. Recently production began again for this popular coin series to bring a classic design back to collections. The obverse side of the Peace Silver Dollar features the profile of Lady Liberty, and the reverse side depicts a majestic bald eagle perched on a rock with an olive branch, symbolizing peace in its talons. These coins were minted to commemorate the end of World War I and embody peace. Collectors highly seek them due to their historical significance and beautiful design. The Peace Silver Dollar is an iconic and valuable piece of American numismatic history.

About the Peace Dollar
Similar to other vintage silver, Peace Dollars sell for a much higher price than its modern bullion counterparts. The silver Peace Dollar contains .7743 ounces of silver, similar to the Morgan Dollar. And like the Morgan dollar, the Peace dollar sells for a large premium due to its collectible value, or numismatic value. While the spot price of silver does influence the overall price of a silver Peace Dollar, the price is determined in large part by the numismatic premium that collectors are willing to pay. Investors who are looking for price efficiency in buying silver should consider the many lower cost alternatives. Investors who enjoy coin collecting or who believe the relative scarcity of the Peace Dollar (no more are being minted) will drive up its value, may consider the Peace Dollar. While the Peace Dollar is very similar to the Morgan Dollar, its price tends to be lower than the Morgan Dollar as it is not as frequently collected.
