Peace Silver Dollars
The Peace Dollar is highly sought after by collectors, as it experienced one of the briefest minting periods of any U.S. currency and was also the last Silver Dollar to be minted. This popular design was minted from 1921 to 1928, then again in 1934 and 1935 due to changes in legislation.
Anthony di Francisci's Peace Dollar was the result of a contest looking for a new dollar design. His unique rendition of Lady Liberty was based on the actual Statue of Liberty, resulting in a patriotic and familiar look. The eagle on the reverse clutches an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing peace and commemorating the peace seen after WWI.
The U.S. Mint
The U.S. Mint has been the producer of some of the most iconic coins in U.S. history. The Peace Dollar series is another testament to the Mint’s craftsmanship, offering a timeless piece of American numismatic heritage. - Specifications

I purchased one of these because I am a huge fan of peace dollars. I wasn’t surprised at all to get a 1922 from Philidelphia and the detail on the coin is really nice, which is why I bought BU, but the coin I received isn’t nearly as BU as the picture. The coin I got is AU at best. There is some discoloration on the obverse near the top of the head and it gets very dark on the top edge of the coin. My other complaint is that there is a small, but very visable gouge across the Obverse side. I’m still pleased with what I receive and it was worth the price but the coin I got was not like the one in the picture and was unusually low quality for Apmex. The shipping was extremely fast though and many of the other coins in the same order that weren’t peace dollars were in even better condition than advertised so no problems here. I will be back for more but I’ll proabably buy AU next time because that’s what I received.

My first Peace Dollar purchase via APMEX and I’m very pleased. Received a 1923, details were great and it had a slight patina on a corner edge which I don’t mind given it does happen over time with coins a 100+ years old.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Nice frosty peace dollar. Front and back are very near mint, just light marks. The coins strike is weak, and there is a radial die crack above the date. Super interesting coin. I thought it had wear, and a scratch, but its just a typical bad die strike of the era! Not sure if the die break adds value, but it's cool.

Coin i recieved was not BU, AU at best. Gouged on Libertys neck and minor wear at high points taking away from the crispness. I didnt bother to return it because it's a lot of work. If i was to buy peace dollars again id buy the VG-VF and know that im just buying it for the silver content.

all of these coins were advertised as "BU" all the ones that I received had cleaning scratch marks, and we definitely polished. I thought, because I bought from a big company, that all the coins would be as described. don't waste your money here. I will never buy from apmex ever again. too bad it was a $1750 lesson

first I received a 22 that had large amounts of wear on it. the reverse lettering was half worn. the feathers were smooth. so I sent it in for an exchange. no issues there. the one I got in exchange was just as bad if not worse. large scratches, a gouge, and worn lettering. feathers were slightly more prominent but still NOT a BU coin. coin snap said XF. I'm going to keep it instead of trying to exchange it because trying to exchange or get a refund is just more work for me to do. the face of the coin is nice and clean. I guess I just won't flip it over.
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- Poor Condition
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I was second guessing myself because I didn’t read reviews before my purchase. After receiving my order I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance and quality of the coins. I anticipated some obvious wear but they were all in great condition. Thank you Apmex for your service.

- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I bought a 20 coin tube of these. I had a mixture of 1922 & 1923 coins in the tube. Most of the coins were tarnished & had a lot of wear markings on them. Not what I expected from brilliant uncirculated coins.
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
