First issued in 1863, National Bank Notes were used in all 48 states and the territories of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico until 1935. The Small Size notes were printed in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 denominations and issued in two types, from 1929 to 1935.Interested in collecting other paper currency but don't know where to start? U.S. $500 bills are a popular option. Discontinued in 1969, these notes are technically still legal tender, but are primary bought and sold by collectors today for a premium.
