The Silver Kookaburra Series
The Australian Silver Kookaburra series from the Perth Mint began in 1990 and is the longest-running bullion program from the mint. Each year has a different design of a kookaburra on the reverse adding to their collectibility. The design of this coin is absolutely stunning. The finish is amazing and with it being a well known coin they’re relatively easy to sell. Only negative thing I have to say was that the capsule was cracked during shipping. Thankfully the coin was not damaged and finding a replacement was super easy.

We’ve all heard of Frosty the snowman, but few have heard of Frosty the Kookaburra, and this coin has plenty of frost. It’s stunning to see in person. The Perth mint continues to punch out some awesome silver coins rounds and bars.. Every one of their coins are pretty much come in a reverse proof finish with the price of a BU finish. The US mint should get a clue and begin producing a coin with a finish like these without calling it a reverse proof.
