1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Coins
Originally endorsed by Congress in 1986, the Gold American Eagle line quickly grew to be one of the world's most preferred bullion coins. The Gold Eagle marks the United States government's inaugural backing of gold coins specifically for investment.
Made available in fractional levels, the American Gold Eagle is appealing to investors interested in smaller dimensions. The 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle increases ease of access to a larger group of people.
The artwork portrays patriotic representations, standing for the excellent history of the United States. The obverse side displays Lady Liberty in a remarkable posture, pulling motivation from Saint Gaudens' 1907 $20 Double Eagle. The reverse shows a beautifully detailed eagle portrait, designed by Jennie Norris. All American Gold Eagle coins boast a make-up of .9167 fine gold, strengthened with copper and silver to maximize wear resistance and durability.
The United States Mint do not directly provide these bullion coins to the public; rather, distribution is managed through authorized purchasers, including APMEX.
CAC MS-69
The Certified Acceptance Corporation (CAC) was formed in 2007 to make improvements to the standard of coin grading. The CAC’s primary intention was to differentiate the difference in quality between previously certified coins of the same grade. If a coin satisfies the high-quality standard the company has established, they supplement the certification with their recognized CAC sticker.
Beginning in 2023, the CAC made the original certification of coins, rather than upgrading those already certified. Buying a 2024 Gold American Eagle certified by CAC means it is graded to their thorough standards for quality. MS-69 graded coins are almost flawless, exhibiting only the slightest imperfections.
First Delivery
With the most current launch of American Eagles, CAC designates specific coins as First Delivery. With this designation, the coin is determined to have been delivered from the U.S. Mint within 30 days of the initial release. The First Day of Delivery designation elevates the attractiveness and collectible value of the 2024 Gold and Silver American Eagles.
