Product Details
Since the 18th century, the maple leaf has been a national symbol of Canada. The MintShield™ white spot reducing technology on the 2025 Silver Maple Leaf Coin makes it unbeatable. The coin's unique light diffracting pattern of radial lines adds an extra layer of protection.
PCGS, one of the most reputable names in numismatics, has collaborated with APMEX to improve MintDirect® Premier. If a MintDirect® Premier offering is sent to PCGS for grading long after new FirstStrike®-eligible coins are no longer available, it will be eligible for the FirstStrike® designation because of this collaboration.
Coin Highlights:
Partnership with PCGS
After an initial quality check, the sealed coins from the mint boxes are placed into a special machine for final sealing to ensure that the products you receive are totally sealed after being removed directly from the mint boxes. The tubes are fed into the machine on a conveyor belt, and both ends of each tube are sealed with tamper-evident packaging using a unique serialized hologram seal. The MintDirect® Premier coins come in very special, hard-to-find brown boxes that are also sealed with tamper-proof holograms that were designed specifically for the MintDirect ® process. The tube is then removed from the machine, and it's inspected to verify that the packaging meets our exacting criteria. You now have a completed MintDirect® Premier + PCGS FirstStrike® 2025 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf coin tube.
Silver Maple Leaf Series
The Maple Leaf series of coins from the Royal Canadian Mint is made up exclusively of Silver Maples, which have a high concentration of .9999 fine Silver. This valuable composition, coupled with the lovely Canadian maple leaf design, is enhanced by the mirror surface, making these Canadian coins particularly appealing to the eye. The Royal Canadian Mint's iconic design, first created in 1988, has gone through numerous changes in order to produce commemorative versions. Although Canada is known for its maple leaves, the original motif has remained prominent. The maple leaf pattern is also used as a privy mark on several series from the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Royal Canadian Mint's Security Features
Since 2015, The Royal Canadian Mint's Bullion DNA program has offered the finest security on the market for bullion coins. Each bullion coin contains a textured maple leaf security privy mark micro-engraved with laser technology and visible only under magnification, along with the two digits that indicate the coin's production year etched inside the maple leaf security mark. MintDirect® coins for this FirstStrike® program include the MintDirect® Premier seal that guarantees these coins will arrive in their original mint sealed packaging. The world's first and only confirmed technology for reducing the appearance of white spots or "milk spots" on Silver bullion coins, MINTSHIELD Surface Protection has now been applied to all 2018 and later Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins.
Note: The MintDirect® process does not guarantee protection from spotting or tarnishing that normally occurs in chemically active metals, such as Gold, Silver and Platinum.
