I've purchased several of these. Two were random date coins. Got two different dates, which was nice but luck of the draw. The BU coins are that. This is an easy, if not totally cost effective, way to broaden a metals collection or accumulation. More cost effective would be to purchase higher weight coins. I'm satisfied. These will go into an Airtite Album for display once I gather the entire 1/10th ounce series.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I chose the platinum american eagle because they're the only bullion coin on the market (to my knowledge) that offers platinum coins in fractional sizes. The added surprise to buying a random year is that you'll never know what year you'll get.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I manage my precious metal holdings as I would manage a game of chess with a formidable opponent. You must have a clear and unambiguous strategy towards your portfolio and stick to it. These tenth ounce, and the fourth ounce platinum eagles, I recently purchased provide conveniently sized holdings for bartering should that become necessary in the future.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This coin gives budget stackers or collectors the opportunity to own platinum at a low price. I love U.S. Platinum Eagles (I hope to obtain an full 1oz someday), and I feel being on a budget this is one coin I can stack. My only con with it is that APMEX charges a high premium for platinum coins including this 1/10 oz coin. Seeing how as of writing this review today the price of Gold is more than Platinum. So it would be nice to see the price reflect that. Other than that, I do hope to obtain at least two more of these coins this year. A+
- Pros
- Recognized Brand
- Easy to Sell
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Mint Condition
- Cons
- High Premium
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
