  • The design of these rounds is based on the original coin issued by the U.S. Mint. These rounds carry no actual face value.
  • Obverse: Adapted from Hermon A. MacNeil's depiction of Lady Liberty holding a shield and an olive branch, desiring peace but ready to defend her country.
  • Reverse: An eagle flying from left to right with "American Precious Metals Exchange" above and the round's weight below.
  • Guaranteed by APMEX.

The design on this 1/4 oz Silver round is a great way to add fractional Silver to your investment portfolio with a touch of beauty. Add this APMEX 1/4 oz Silver (Standing Liberty Quarter) round to your cart today!

The price of fractional Silver rounds depends on the refining process and final product.

When buying 1/4 oz Silver round bullion, it is important to know what you are paying for. The price for Standing Liberty quarter rounds starts with the spot price of Silver, which no one pays because it is the price of unfabricated Silver. You will pay the premium price of Silver rounds, which includes the cost of fabrication, distribution, a nominal dealer fee and any numismatic or collector value. Because prices for fractional Silver rounds and other Precious Metals are always based on these factors, you can buy Silver for the same price per troy ounce anywhere in the world.

The value of Silver rounds is bolstered by the many uses of Silver.

When buying 1/4 oz Silver rounds and other Silver bullion, you can watch for news about how Silver is used to keep an eye on demand in the market. If you melt down a Standing Liberty quarter round, for example, it has many uses in the medical world because of the strong antibacterial properties of Silver. The Silver in fractional Silver rounds can make dozens of connections in electronics, where Silver is prized for being the most conductive metal. Your Silver rounds stay shiny because Silver resists corrosion and oxidation, another property useful in industrial applications as well as for making Silver jewelry.

These fractional Silver rounds are an excellent way to own iconic American coin designs, featuring the 1916 Standing Liberty design, crafted in .999 fine Silver available at a low price point.

Very nice.

These are nice little 1/4 ounce silver rounds. The APMEX design on both sides is very nice and clean. It's always good to have fractional rounds (like having pennies, nickels, quarters) and these fit the bill. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Thanks APMEX!!

This round was part of my first order at APMEX. It is a beautiful piece in every way. Buying fractional can be a bit pricey but the potential bartering power is well worth the diversity. The entire process was a huge win! Shipping was lightning fast, so good, I placed my second order after unboxing and inventory on the first! Great job APMEX!

Pocket Disaster Relief

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

When there is a 'Bad moon on the rise' these Silver quarters will be crucial for survival in North America for the following reasons: 1) Their well executed classic design is appealing, 2) They are clearly marked for Purity and weight from a well know private mint so their 'tradability' will be high, 3) They are denominated in a Troy fraction ideal for trade in daily needs. History has shown in a bi-metallic economy, (Gold & Silver based) a meal for one person should cost from 1/10th to 1/2 an ounce of silver. 4) The rise in silver price to it's natural level of 1 : 50 Gold-Silver Ratio, (after an interruption of paper trade), will offset the artificial increase in cost of goods due to scarcity. 5) Silver Quarter ounce rounds will ready you to get out there and trade.
