I bought this coin because I currently owned the 2014 10 oz kookaburra and was so impressed with the size and quality of that one, that I had to get another. This coin has exceptional detail despite it being such a large round. Especially on the feathers. On the other side it shows Queen Elizabeth II. Her portrait looks very nice with the frosted background. The side is very thick with a crisp reeded edge. I also like that this coin features two of the birds unlike the others that I have seen. Do not hesitate to buy this monster coin!

I don't show coins to very many people, but for those very few that I do, when this guy comes out it's followed by a many "holy cow's". (edited for APMEX eyes) If you don't own at least one 10oz coin get one of these, or an Koala, or one of the Lunar series coins from Perth. You won't be disappointed even a tiny bit. Also, do the math. price / 20 = not a bad premium over spot on these.

These large coins are very attractive and sold by APMEX at a low premium to spot. I believe that the real advantage in investing in these, as opposed to bullion, is that they have both numismatic and intrinsic value. The smaller 10 oz. coin makes a great gift.

These coins have a good chance of selling for a premium over spot in the future. It appears to be a better investment than just buying a generic bar that will move mostly in line with spot,
