When I purchased my first 100 oz. Struck Apmex bar, I was blown away by the weight... 6.25 lbs. of .999 Fine Silver. Not just Fine silver, but with a mirror finish. While I just wanted to handle it again and a again, I didn't.... because the oils on your fingertips can cause the silver to tarnish ( should have bought the gloves). If you treat yourself to this investment, you'll probably want more. If you don't have a precious Metals portfolio, It might give you a greater sense of security having it. I'm just saying.

I bought this bar for its low premium over spot. I love the mirror finish and the design as well. A true heavy weight and I will be buying more! This will do for me what others think their 401(k)s will do for them.

My second 100oz bar and both are unbelievable. Not what I would call 'easy to trade' if you are looking for that, but it's hard to describe how 6.25 pounds of silver feels in your hand. I recommend anyone that has the means to buy at least one of these for the shear beauty and heft. Simply stunning.

You have to hold this bar to really feel how heavy it is. its beautiful, except its marred by a nicked corner ;-( I have been looking for Apmex items on sale, as its only worth buying when there is a good sale.
