Bought 10 of these when they were on sale. There were two listings for the Britannia/horse privy....one with abrasions and one in BU with possible milk spots. I bought the BU. I'm OK with milk spots, however 7 of the 10 had small to medium scratches. I'm new to stacking but I think these are not BU, but rather the one's with abrasions. Can I exchange them? Yes I'm sure I can but probably will just keep them and treat them as bullion rounds........

The silver Britannia is a favorite of mine. I was disappointed when I received this one. First of all, the design is a neat idea with the Horse Privy stamped in the side. Unfortunately, where the top rim of the coin and the stamp meet, it is slightly raised on the edge all the way around the rim, giving an uneven appearance around the rim, almost as if the rim has been flattened in areas. Secondly, I was disappointed with the markings on this coin. The coin had fallen out of the plastic holder in shipping, and was loose in the bubble wrap with another item. The coin has several scratches/rub marks on the high points of the face of Elizabeth. I'm not sure if the rub marks occurred during or before shipping. But these markings are unattractive and do not give this coin a BU finish as described.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this coin. I have never felt the need to write a poor review but in this case I do. I was very excited about the privy Brittania, especially since the privy mark is on the reed (a very cool idea). When the coin arrived I was disappointed because on the obverse of the coin near the bottom of the dress, the coin was clearly defective. The mountainous area that the lady is standing on and the word "NATHAN" was almost unreadable and had a smoothed out look. The mountainous area also had no definition to it. None of my other Brittanias have this condition (keep in mind I really like the 2015 Brit). I asked for an exchange and APMEX sent me a replacement. ....Much to my disappointment, the replacement coin arrived and had the same issue! It is too much of a hassle to return the coin again so I will probably just keep it. However, I felt like APMEX should have checked the coin that they sent me so that it would not have the same issue. I consider this poor quality control.
