I bought the 1964 Kennedy brilliant uncirculated and also purchased the 1964 Kennedy average circulated so I could compare the two in order to make future purchases. The brilliant uncirculated came in the same condition as the average circulated. They had coin marks scratches and obviously had been cleaned. If you're just buying for the silver content stick with the average circulated $1 package as these coins really have no great value and if I had to compare them to what were sold as brilliant uncirculated they are very nice looking coins and the $7 difference between brilliant uncirculated an average circulated is where you're going to make your money. I received these and one of them is pretty good shape for BU, but has a decent coin mark or two on the surface. Expected and still good. The other one I was more disappointed in. The overall is BU condition and the reverse is great. But the Obverse has flaws. There and series of 3 or 4 scratches (not gouge and not from cleaning...but noticable) on the neck and the check has some serious spotting on it. I can't tell if PVC green or not, but definitely takes away from the beauty. It is still a valuable coin for the Silver. Doubt it is a pattern, just luck of the draw. Still happy with APMEX overall.

A little disappointed with this order. one of the $1.00 face value bags contained coins that are clearly ave. circulated and not BU as advertised. will order again while spot prices are down.
