Exodus is the first release in the 2015 six coin series of iconic scenes from the Bible. This 2 oz Silver coin has a mintage of just 1,499 and features a rimless, high-relief design in antique finish of the dramatic Red Sea scene.
Coin Highlights:

- Obverse: Features the Raphael Maklouf likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the weight, purity and face value.
- Reverse: Inspired by Gustave Doré's illustration of "The Egyptians Drowned in the Red Sea," pictured on the certificate of authenticity, showing Egyptians and their horses in chaos as the Red Sea overtakes them. In the distance, Moses and the Israelites stand atop a hill, safe from the water.
- Edge: Laser etched serial number, from 1 to 1499, which matches the serial number found on the included certificate of authenticity.
The certificate of authenticity has an antique feel that coincides nicely with both the finish of the 2 oz coin and the design subject. Included on the certificate is an image of Gustave Doré's "The Egyptians Drowned in the Red Sea," showing how accurately Scottsdale Mint's creative team recreated the original artwork for this coin series.

I just began collecting this series (Sept 2016). I have all the 2016 coins with matching series number but random for 2015. I have 5 of the 2015 coins. Apmex has been out of the 2015 Exodus but their site reads as though they will get more. However, I understand this to be a limited series and am concerned of perhaps never finding the Exodus coin thus forever keeping me 1 coin shy of the full set. Any advice how I may find the 2015 Exodus coin from you expert collectors? I am willing to pay the retail price but that is about as high as I am going to go.

If you read all the previous reviews and put them in a blender to get a mix, it'll give you a good idea. As the 5 star reviews claimed, it is a very attractive coin in low mintage. That being said, it will probably be very difficult to resell at the full price of the absurd premium. Very few people will pay $100 per ounce for a silver coin in my opinion. In my opinion, if you are going to get one of the coins, get the whole set for the year in matching serial numbers (which I did not do for 2015, but I did for the 2016 preorder). This is most likely to retain the value the premium will cost you. Hope that helps!

It is an art craft, not only is a coin, very low mintage. The only thing to be worried is no plastic capsule to protect it. You don't know, what will be happen after years oxygenated.

I bought this product as a gift because the person who gave me one of these coins enjoyed it as well. We both plan to collect the entire series. I am enjoying the inspiring artwork depicting scenes from the Bible. Well worth the price.

If you love art, and appreciate Gustav Dore, then you'll find Scottsdale's depiction of Dore's "Exodus" no small feat. It could probably be called a miniature reproduction on a silver canvas. I received #1219, and the very low mintage, quality design and artistry of the world's greatest book on 2 oz Silver and antique finish is bound to make this a very sought after collectible after 10 years and 60 coins. I expect 10 years from now (yes, hold it), a new generation of collectors will be seeking to own these first year releases. Yes, the box is cardboard and the COA is paper, so handle with care! But assured the coin is engraved with its' serial number. I will be buying the series!!

nice coin, cool art work, but coin has a nick on the side. detail seems crowded and cloudy and for the money I expected a better presentation box.

I'm thinking this is going to be a real sought after collector coin in the future. The artwork and relief are unique. I've purchased three coins as an investment. The only concern at this time is the ability to get corresponding serial numbers throughout the entire 60 coin series. I'm told AMPEX is working towards assuring this.
