The Australian lunar series coins aren't the lowest premium gold coins, but they are more fun to collect and admire than your standard Krugerrands. They also have the potential for numismatic value in the future. Check the dragon coin from 2000 for an example.

Very pretty coin. They are flatter and have a larger diameter than eagles. They arlready have gone up a little in value in a short time. Its harder and more expensive to get a 2009 or 2008 1 oz version so i bet the tiger will soon be in that club also. Australian lunar coins of all kinds are just the best and prettiest and they shoot up in price quickly. Be carefull with this one, they do scratch and stain easily around the designs.

Wow. What great coin. That portrait really stands out from the rest of the Perth Mint Lunars (both past and present), not to mention all the other imitators that have come along since the success of the first Perth Mint Lunar series.
