I purchased this coin because it was made by the Perth Mint, had a specified, yearly mintage and for its design. The reverse has a striking contrast of sheen/luster between the kookaburra and its background and the same holds true for the portrait of the Queen on the obverse. Because the design changes yearly, this makes for a fine, collectable coin.

What can I say about the 2014 Australian Kookaburra but as Perfect,this silver bullion coin is beyond words gorgeous,and after collecting the US Silver Eagles for so long I am considering stop buying those and start collecting some of these and other coins. Now I just wanna say the Kookaburra,the 1oz. Silver Britannia,and the 1oz. Somalia Elephant were my first purchase from APMEX and honestly I have rarely seen service like that,I am flat out in shock of how fast I got my 3 coins,they literally double boxed them and has foam inserts that protected the coins like Fort Knox.So in closing I just say APMEX has earned my respect and I will be ordering from them from now on.Thanks APMEX.
