Chevrolet®
Chevrolet's brand represents durability, American heritage, and innovation. The famous Chevy bowtie emblem is recognized worldwide and has been a symbol of the brand since its inception.
Chevrolet has had a significant presence in motorsports, especially in NASCAR, the Indy 500, and other racing series. The Chevrolet small-block V8, introduced in 1955, is one of the most famous and successful engines in automotive racing history.
We offer General Motor licensed products such as silver and gold rounds, colorized rounds, and rounds sold in tamper-evident-packaging (TEP).
About Chevrolet
Chevrolet, commonly referred to as Chevy, is an American automobile division of the American manufacturer General Motors (GM). Louis Chevrolet and General Motors founder William C. Durant started the company on November 3, 1911, as the Chevrolet Motor Car Company.
Durant used Chevrolet to re-enter the mainstream automobile market and merge with his former company, GM, a few years later. Chevrolet became a major player in the American auto industry and was positioned as a direct competitor to Ford in the early days.
Popular Models: Over the years, Chevrolet has produced many iconic models, such as:
- Chevrolet Suburban: One of the longest-running nameplates in automotive history, introduced in 1935.
- Chevrolet Corvette: Introduced in 1953, the sports car became an American icon.
- Chevrolet Impala: The Impala is a large sedan that became popular, especially in the 1960s.
- Chevrolet Camaro: The Camaro is a muscle car introduced in 1966 as competition to the Ford Mustang.
- Chevrolet Silverado: A full-size pickup truck that is one of the brand's best-sellers.
- Chevrolet Malibu: The Malibu is a mid-sized sedan that has been seen multiple generations since its introduction in the 1960s.
The Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro are two of Chevy's most iconic performance cars. The Corvette is often hailed as America's sports car.
Our Gold Round: Genuine Parts Logo (1934-1940)
This round contains one ounce of .9999 fine gold, and it is often offered at a low rate over spot. It is a good one to watch if you are looking to buy high-quality gold at a competitive rate. The obverse of this round features Chevrolet’s logo, which was used from 1934 to 1940, the Genuine Parts logo. The reverse displays the bowtie logo with small bowtie logos repeating horizontally across the surface.
Do Colorized Coins Hold Value?
This collection of Chevrolet rounds features colorized rounds versions. Some are concerned that colorized versions may not hold the same value as non-colorized versions. When we add colorization to these rounds, the color is added over one full ounce of .999 silver. The coloring does not reduce the silver content and like most coins, the value may be influenced by current silver market prices.
What is TEP?
Most of these coins come in TEP, but what is TEP and how does it help protect the value of the precious metal rounds? TEP stands for "Tamper-Evident Packaging." When coins, rounds, or bars are packaged using TEP, it means they are sealed in a way that any attempt to open or tamper with the packaging will be evident. TEP helps protect the rounds value in these ways,
- Authenticity
- Preservation
- Resale Value
- Security
- Traceability
- Increased Trust
This type of packaging is often used to help protect precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.
