Buy American Silver Eagle Monster Boxes Online
Silver Eagle Monster Boxes are 500-coin cases containing 500 Silver American Eagle coins each. Each Silver Eagle 100-coin Mini Monster Box contains five sealed MintDirect® tubes of new, unsearched coins, removed directly from a sealed U.S. Mint Monster Box and packaged in a stackable plastic APMEX Mini Monster Box. The United States Mint packages all bullion Silver Eagles in monster boxes containing 500 coins. APMEX offers a selection of intact monster boxes that have remained sealed ever since they left the Mint.
First released in 1986, the American Silver Eagle
is the United States' official Silver bullion coin. The Silver Eagle only comes in one size, which is 1 oz of .999 fine Silver. It has a face value of $1 and is backed by the U.S. government. The Silver Eagle has been produced at three mints: the Philadelphia Mint, the San Francisco Mint and the West Point Mint. The U.S. Mint does not add mint marks to bullion Silver Eagles. Mint of origin is only identifiable by the sealed monster boxes the coins ship in, either via distinguishing straps or the serial number assigned to each box.
Mini Monster Box MintDirect® Process
APMEX uses a special machine for this sealing process to ensure the products you receive are sealed completely, once they are removed directly from the mint boxes. The mint tubes are placed on the conveyor leading into the machine and the sealing process seals both ends of each tube with tamper-evident packaging. After the process is completed, the tube is removed from the machine and then checked to ensure the quality of the packaging meets our exacting standards. These tubes are then packaged in a sturdy, stackable APMEX Mini Monster Box and secured for shipping.

American Silver Eagle Design
Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic depiction of Lady Liberty adorns the obverse of all versions of the American Silver Eagle coin. This design originated in 1916 for the nation’s Half Dollar coin. It features Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the setting sun on the horizon. With the American flag draped over her shoulders, she is carrying the oak and laurel branches in her left arm while her right hand is outstretched toward the horizon.
Depicted on the reverse side of all Silver Eagles is the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This particular design is a modern portrayal of the bald eagle with its wings spread wide and the national shield on its chest. Clutched in its talons are the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in the other. It holds a ribbon in its beak with the phrase “E Pluribus Unum,” and above its head is a cluster of 13 stars arranged in a triangle. Each of the stars represents one of the original 13 colonies in America.
2021 Silver Eagle Design
In October of 2020, the United States Mint has unveiled the new reverse designs for the 2021 American Eagle Silver coins. 2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin program. AIP Designer Emily Damstra created the new Silver design, which was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. The 2021 design features an elegant American bald eagle flying back toward its nest with its wings spread out, holding an oak branch in its talons. This marks the first change of the beloved Silver Eagle designs since the exceptionally popular bullion-coin program began in 1986.
