Coin Highlights:

- Reverse: Features an eagle with its wings spread and a shield in front of its breast. The mint mark is located just above the denomination.
- This coin is Type-1 as the denomination is abbreviated “TWENTY D.”.
- This coin was minted in San Francisco and carries the “S” mint mark.
The SS Central America was a sidewheel paddle steamboat that sailed between various countries in Central America and New York and other ports on the East Coast of the US. During a hurricane the ship sank and 420 passengers and crew went down with the ship. The ship also lost over 30,000 pounds of Gold coins and bars
