    Indian Gold Quarter Eagles
The Indian Gold Quarter Eagle was originally struck from 1908 to 1915 and again from 1925 to 1929. In 1915, the Mint concluded the production of Quarter Eagles to encourage the increase of bank notes, but the popular coin was brought back into circulation in 1925 predominantly to be given as presents for the holidays. Due to the growing popularity again, they remained in production for a final four years before minting ceased altogether.
