2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle - PCGS MS-70 FDI (Black Label)
The Gold American Eagles were the first Gold bullion coins backed by the United States government and were authorized by Congress in 1986. The designs of American Gold Eagle coins are excellent tributes to traditional United States coinage. All American Gold Eagles have a .9167 fine Gold purity and contain small amounts of Silver and Copper to increase the durability of the coins. They come in four convenient sizes: 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 oz.
The new American Gold Eagle designs debuted in mid-2021 and will remain the standard going forward. The Gold coin layout depicts a close-up portrait of America's national bird, the American bald eagle, according to Mint Artistic Infusion Program designer Jennie Norris. Augustus Saint-Gaudens' original design was updated on the obverse.
PCGS MS-70 Certified + First Day of Issue
PCGS is a reliable third-party grading service that has been operational for over 35 years. It improves the value of collectibles by confirming their authenticity and condition. After a coin is graded, it is sealed in packaging that indicates if it has been tampered with. This 2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle was given the grade of MS-70, meaning that to the naked eye, there are no imperfections present. If a Gold Eagle coin is proven to have left the mint on the first day of its release, it will be PCGS certified First Day of Issue.
