This 3 Florin coin was struck during the Austrian control of the Netherlands. This was later referred to as part of the Insurrection Coinage that was struck in protest of the Austrian rule by the Dutch.

Coin Highlights:
  • Struck in Silver.
  • Graded as MS-61 by PCGS, one of the two major independent grading services.
  • Obverse: Rampant lion holding sword in right paw and shield of Liberty in left paw, symbolic of the Dutch people's willingness to protect and fight for their liberties; date below.
