2023 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 NGC & First Day of Issue
First permitted by Congress for release in 1986, the Gold American Eagles were the first Gold bullion coins to be guaranteed by the United States government. They highlight patriotic designs that pay homage to the classic coin designs created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. All American Gold Eagle coins are available in four different sizes: 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 oz of fine Gold.
The new American Gold Eagle designs began showing up on these coins in mid-year 2021 and are set to go forward as the new standard moving forward. Jennie Norris, Mint Artistic Infusion Program designer, created the desirable Gold coin layout that portrays a close-up picture of America's national bird - the American bald eagle. The obverse has been adjusted with supplementary details from the initial design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens from 1907.
NGC MS-70 Certified + First Day of Issue
Before encapsulating a coin in a protective holder, NGC analyzes it and assigns it a grade quantifying its condition.
