These historic British trade dollars were issued to facilitate trade with the Orient. Three years of the Bombay issue (1895, 1897 and 1898) were missing the mint mark on some of the issuance.
Coin Highlights:
- Contains .780 oz actual silver weight.
- Minted at the Bombay Mint with a mintage of 21,545,500 coins.
- This coin is in Extra Fine condition.
- Obverse: Displays the likeness of Britannia, standing with a shield and trident and a merchant ship in the background with the date beneath.
- Reverse: Features Oriental designs within a cross.
- This issue of the of the Bombay Mint is missing the mint mark in the trident.
