Product Details
From 1912-14, Canada produced Gold coins for circulation, but almost all of these were soon recalled from circulation to finance the war effort during WWI. As a result almost all of these coins were held by the Bank of Canada until recently.

Coin Highlights:
  • Contains 0.4837 AGW.
  • Comes packaged in protective packaging.
  • Obverse: Features King George V appearing in splendor on this substantial coin.
  • Reverse: Displays the arms of Canada within sprays of maple leaves.
  • Sovereign coin backed by the Canadian government.

Protect your coins from fingerprints by adding these cotton gloves to your order.

After these coins were removed from circulation, Canadian $5 and $10 Gold existed almost exclusively in the vaults of the Bank of Canada. In 2012, a mere 30,000 of the nicest coins were selected from this hoard and offered to the public, and over 200,000 were melted for use as bullion. Add these scarce Canadian Gold coins to your cart today!
