This is at least the second 100 peso coin that APMEX have sold me with a small drill hole in the reverse. I am assuming that the hole was drilled by a prior owner to see if the coin was a gold-plated fake. I will send that coin back, like I did with other(s), and hope to get a full refund. Full disclosure: I have knowingly purchased a drilled coin from them, but at a negotiated discount.

I ordered two coins as gifts. Received an 1948 in AU condition and an 1859 that was easily a BU coin. Now thinking about keeping both coins for myself. Very pleased with all of my gold coins purchased from APMEX.

OK, I admit it, I bought the last three. I am glad I did. These are gorgeous coins in excellent condition. I am not qualified to grade them, but if APMEX marked these as BU instead of AU, I would still be happy. They are pristine.
