I went on a bit of a Dragon spree with my last order, got this as well as the 1oz bar and 1oz round, and a 1/2oz Dragon. Born in the Year of the Dragon(1964) so decided I'd get a few things to represent that. Very happy with this piece, nice feel, (love hand poured silver), received in mint condition. AMPEX has never disappointed.

pretty cool bar-you can definitely tell it is hand-poured,it looks good but it is not too refined-has an old time, nostalgic look to it.will definitely get a couple more

Bought these during an APMEX sale--hard to stack, but very cool design and shape (the poured bar just LOOKS like bullion should, doesn't it?). Will make great Xmas or birthday gifts...I sampled several for weight, and found all those I tested to be spot on. Excellent product, worth a small premium over more 'generic' silver bar (IMHO)...thanks APMEX!

These are not big pieces. They are a bit bigger than a Kennedy Half length wise, and just shy of a quarter width wise... but they vary in thickness. The weight is right on, as you'd expect from Atlantis Mint, but they don't have the same "table presence" as a die stamped 1oz bar because of the thickness detracting from how wide and tall it is... right up to the second someone puts one in their hand. This bullion feels like pirate treasure the instant you touch it. It has that raw old world quality to it that has made Atlantis Mint pieces my new favorites. They make polished, poured bullion that has that treasure chest feel to it, and everyone in my family and myself loves the old style craftsmanship of these bars more so than the beautiful mirror finish of the stamped bullion... for some reason it just makes me want to say "ARRR!!".

There is nothing wrong with these bars, they are1 troy ounce as advertised, but they do look and feel very small. If you want to buy a small chunk of silver to handle or as a gift, start with at least a 2 ounce bar. I also bought a couple of 2 oz Prospector's loaf style bars and am much happier with them.
