These certificates were issued on April 28, 1969 and used briefly in Japan and Libya being withdrawn from use in those countries after only 2 months. They remained in use in Korea until they were withdrawn on November 19, 1973. The Series 651 Military Payment Certificates were printed by Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington, D.C. and was one of the least distributed of all MPC's. All other denominations in this series typically sell for several hundred dollars each in this grade.
