This rare colonial note from the colony of North Carolina is part of the issue authorized in December 1771. The denomination is 3 pounds and has red and black printing. Great find for this very scarce type.

Currency Highlights:
  • From a group of notes authorized by the North Carolina legislature in December 1771.
  • Scarce early colonial note.
  • Housed in an archival quality currency sleeve.
  • Very Fine condition with moderate wear and rough edges. Small pin hole in corner.
  • Face: Depicts the Magna Carta (The Great Charter of 1215). Signatures in black, brown and red ink.
  • Back: Period handwritten.
