2022 is the first year of the full production of the new Gold Eagles reverse that will be the standard design moving forward. The Gold Eagles program is well known for its iconic and historically significant design, like its adaptation of the Augustus Saint-Gaudens' 1907 Lady Liberty artwork. Gold Eagles are also sought after because of their reliable bullion content that is backed by the United States Treasury. These Gold Eagle coins are also recognized worldwide and, are therefore, easy to liquidate.

MintDirect® Premier + PCGS FirstStrike®
APMEX and PCGS have collaborated to bring the MintDirect® Premier and PCGS FirstStrike® program to these 2022 Gold Eagles. This MintDirect® process guarantees the coins are received in the exact condition they were in when they left the U.S. Mint. While FirstStrike® gives consumers more time to submit their 2022 Eagle in to PCGS for FirstStrike® designation, well after the cutoff date.

The mint tubes are sealed at both ends in tamper evident packaging and is examined to validate the seal's quality. The mint tubes are placed on the conveyor leading into the machine to seal both ends of each tube with tamper evident packaging.
