- Reverse: The reverse design by Canadian artist Pandora Young features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as she looked in 1952, the year of her accession to the throne. The double dates “1952 - 2022” commemorate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee (“PLATINUM JUBILEE JUBILÉ DE PLATINE”), while the maple leaves celebrate the monarch’s 70 years of service to Canada. The other coin's reverse design by artist John Bergdahl is inspired by regal emblems of the past, and displays the royal arms within a royal mantle.
