Isis
Known as the goddess of healing and magic, Isis was pivotal to Egypt's ancient religion. She was said to be a protector of women and even of her powerful husband, Osiris. The most famous example of Isis upholding her protectorate role was when Seth (the jealous brother) dismembered Osiris and scattered him all over Egypt. While her powers and scope of influence in Egyptian religion evolved over time, Isis was known as a goddess of protection at her core. First starting as a secondary figure to Osiris, Isis gradually became the Queen of the Universe and Cosmic Order after thousands of years. By the period of the Roman Empire, Isis had become the controller of fate itself. Egyptology would not be the same without her.
