Original Sin
In the Book of Genesis, the story of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, takes place in the Garden of Eden where the tree of knowledge of good and evil resides. A serpent appears to Eve and deceives her into taking a bite of the forbidden fruit, even though she has been told not to eat the fruit. After eating the forbidden fruit, God curses Adam and Eve and banishes them from the garden.
