In 1947 a young Princess Elizabeth made a speech that was broadcast around the world in celebration of her 21st birthday. In it, the young royal dedicated her life to the service of the Commonwealth: "I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong." Five years later, she would ascend the throne as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, starting historic reign over seventy years, the longest of any British monarch. Her Late Majesty's seven decades of service is numismatically symbolized through her six effigies to have appeared on Australian coins.
The Royal Australian Mint is honoring the late Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll with a beautiful 50c basemetal coin, presented in a presentation card.

- Obverse: Features the Memorial Obverse of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark, along with the year.

The central design is framed with lily of the valley, one of the queen's favorite flowers and golden wattle, Australia's national floral emblem.
