Product Details
This is a very rare 30 shillings colonial note from the colony of New Jersey and is dated June 14, 1757 with good printing. There were only 1,000 of these printed, so in any condition this is a scarce note.

Currency Highlights:
  • From a group of notes printed in New Jersey in the colonial era prior to the Revolutionary War.
  • Authorized by the New Jersey legislature on June 14, 1757.
  • Housed in an archival quality currency sleeve by PMG.
  • Graded Good-6 Net by PMG.
  • Comments: Splits.
  • Face: Features the colony arms with the obligation printed in red.
  • Back: A sage leaf in black printing with the ominous warning, "To counterfeit is death," below the denomination.
  • Friedberg #NJ-106.

This is a tough issue from the colony of New Jersey as only 1,000 were originally printed by James Parker of Woodbridge, New Jersey. This note has seen moderate wear, but considering it is well over 200 years old, is still a great collectible!

Colonial issues preceded the continental notes by many decades, and some are quite rare. These notes are in demand among collectors and rising in value due to the limited numbers printed. Add one of these classic collectibles to your cart today!
