This coin is the tribute penny in Gold. When ask (Matthew 22,verse 19 - 22) if taxes should be paid to Rome Jesus said,"Show me the coin." When shown the coin Jesus said, "Whose portrait is this?" " Caesar," they replied. Then render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. The Tribute Penny was a Silver denarius, this coin is a Gold aureus with the same portrait and legend as the denarius. This is a nice coin of this type with a good portrait of the Emperor Tiberius.
