This 1775 20 shillings colonial note is from Pennsylvania. This note is in Very Fine condition with dark and bold signatures and printing.

Currency Highlights:

  • Dated July 20, 1775 with a denomination of twenty shillings.
  • Housed in a Mylar currency sleeve by PCGS.
  • Graded Very Fine-35 Apparent by PCGS.
  • Comments: Small Edge Split at Left.
  • Face: Coat of arms of Pennsylvania.
  • Back: The nature print on the back displays a sage leaf with an ornamental border design. Printed by Hall and Sellers.

This colonial currency note from the State of Pennsylvania dated July 20, 1775 is a great piece of history. It is an excellent example of paper currency printed just prior to American independence from Britain. Not many of these notes exist in this condition.
