I received a 1877 in above average condition! The seated liberty is defined, visible down to the wrinkles in her dress and the word liberty clearly visible on her shield. The back is all visible words, the eagle, everything. Not slicked on either side OR on the ridges, which usually disappear on millenial quarters let alone a 1877!Apmex really came through for me on this one!
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I know going into this purchase it isn't for a show piece. I wanted one for a "type" collection of US coins. This is REALLY worn. On the reverse side, no words are visible at all and only the eagle is visible (worns, but visible). Obverse is basically a silhouette of seated liberty. There is no detail left in it at all. Obverse better than reverse, but recommend buying a better piece instead of this. If i had to grade it, i would put at poor to fair range. well below AG-3 range.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My coin was pretty worn out. I can see it's a 1853 and has arrows on both sides of the date, but it's tough to see. It's still a nice coin, and I am satisfied with it.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
