$1.00 U.S. Notes
APMEX offers a fine selection of 1928 $1.00 Red Seal notes. With less than two million printed and only issued with the 1928 series date, $1.00 Red Seal notes are very popular with collectors. One of the most interesting types of U.S. money in circulation, Red Seal notes were backed only by the credit of the U.S. government. Despite that fact, they were issued at a time when money was redeemable for Gold or Silver. These notes had a red treasury seal and red serial numbers and were issued in $1.00, $2.00, $5.00 and $100 denominations.
