2023 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle PCGS MS-70 + FirstStrike® Black Label
The Gold American Eagles were the first Gold bullion coins to be backed by the United States government. The American Gold Eagle coins feature different patriotic designs and are made with .9167 fine Gold. Silver and Copper are also added to the Gold content to make these coins more durable against wear. They come in four sizes: 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 oz and 1 oz of fine Gold.
The new American Gold Eagle designs began appearing on these coins in mid-year 2021 and are set to keep being the new standard going forward. Jennie Norris, Mint Artistic Infusion Program designer, designed the sought-after Gold coin artwork that portrays a close-up picture of America's national bird - the American Bald Eagle. The obverse has been modified with added details from the first design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907.
